Luz e sombra, calor e frio são reguladores das condições biogeoquímicas do sistema solar, e também matéria originária e produto final do complexo tecnocientífico. Logo nas primeiras páginas de O Inumano, Lyotard questiona se o objetivo da ciência, em seu limite, não seria preparar-nos para enfrentar a morte do sol. Muito embora o resfriamento terrestre subsequente à morte solar implique na aniquilação de todos os seres vivos da Terra, por estar tão distante no futuro, esta visão escatológica nos soa absurda e sublime. Uma escuridão inimaginável.
No último século, desenvolvemos tecnologias que nos permitiram mapear o globo, conectar continentes e conhecer as estrelas. Em contraste, numa demonstração narcísica de poder ilimitado, hoje o mesmo conhecimento é utilizado por empreendimentos particulares que lançam novas constelações artificiais ao céu, garantindo que as próximas gerações não mais vejam as luzes cintilantes dos astros na penumbra noturna.
Nesse primeiro EP split entre Polvö e abneg, as peças Albedo/Kryotechnik procuram compor sonoramente uma imagem do intervalo entre o destino climático da espaçonave Terra e a conservação técnica da matéria biogeoquímica do planeta alhures.
Albedo é uma peça de música espectral que combina timbres gerados por meio de síntese de fala com experiências de modulação dinâmica do espectro sonoro.
Kryotechnik é uma colagem sonora de temporalidades e formas diversas. Intercala gravações de sons metálicos (alumínio, ferro) processados com efeitos sonoros digitais e sintetizadores rudimentares programados em PD e VST.

Light and shadow, heat and cold are regulators of the biogeochemical conditions of the solar system, and also originating matter and final product of technoscientific complex. Straight in the initial pages of The Inhuman, Lyotard questions whether the aim of science, on its edge, would not be to prepare us to face the death of the sun. Even if the cooling of the Earth that would follow the death of the sun might result in the annihilation of all living beings on the planet, this distant-future eschatological sight sounds absurd and sublime to us. Unimaginable darkness.
In the last century we developed technologies that have allowed us to map the globe, connect continents, and get to know the stars. In turn, in a narcissistic demonstration of unlimited power, the same knowledge today is used by particular enterprises that launch new artificial constellations into the sky, making sure that the next generations are no longer able to see the sparkling lights of stars in the dimness of the night.
In this first shared split between Polvö and abneg, the pieces Albedo/Kryotechnik attempt to sonically compose an image of the gap between the climatic destiny of Spaceship Earth and the technical conservation of biogeochemical matter of the planet somewhere else.
Albedo is a piece of spectral music that combines timbres generated by means of speech synthesis with experiences of dynamic modulation of sound spectra.
Kryotechnik is a sound collage of diverse temporalities and shapes. It blends recordings of metallic sounds (aluminum, iron) processed with digital sound effects with rudimentary synthesizers programmed in PD and VST.
